In Exercise 3 I originally submitted photography 0513 and 0522 The stutter speed caught the ripples in the silk and still had enough light to somewhat see the scarfs various colors, and in 0522 the scarf looked like liquid color, which I adored. In addition, I had added 0555, not as an official submission since I utilized a different ISO than the other pictures to get enough light, however, I loved how this shutter speed froze the scarfs action so well that it looked like a statue of sorts, or blown glass .
However, again for my midterm submissions I took your suggestion and went through my photos and chose the most reciprocal pair at the same ISO but with the different shutter speeds. I chose the 1/60 and 1/15 shutter speeds that were suggested in the assignment, to best conform to the assignments requirements of demonstrating the difference in how the shutter speed affects capturing motion.
My favorite artist this week.... Martin Klimas. The use of everyday items and showing them in ways that are different and so unique gives the viewer not just a different viewpoint but an entirely different outlook on how to do things like ... view music.... be a witness to the 2nd death of cut flowers ... or how something as traditional as pictures of cut flowers can be turned on its head and be seen in a whole NEW way!
