This page displays a piece in response to uniform(ity). I used my old secondary school blazer to work with, and then stitched fabric in the shape of t-shirts into it. The t-shirts feature screen-printed, bold text displaying school rules and a positive quote, of which are to be read flippantly. For me, the written word is a powerful tool so I wear t-shirts often with bold text printed on. I have therefore implemented a part of me into the characterless blazer as an attempt to conflict the whole ethos that ‘everyone is the same’.
