Tokyo Metro 6000 Series (6130F) at Ayase
6000 Series trains were first manufactured in 1968 to a state-of-the-art design employing the latest technology, including chopper transmission, regenerative braking and an aluminium body. This 1985 example is one of the last manufactured, although production continued into 1990.
Having been replaced by 16000 Series trains, most of these units have been retired or shipped to Indonesia. The two remaining consists are now exclusively used during peak hours, although their days are obviously numbered.
