Stillness in Stone

During my 20 years as a stonemason, I had the privilege of working on the award-winning restoration of the Wimpole Hall Folly. As the workshop foreman, I was closely involved in shaping the stones that brought this remarkable structure back to life. Though I now work in education, my connection to the trade remains deep. I took this monochrome image during the award ceremony held at the Folly, capturing the strength, elegance, and timelessness of the stonework we laboured over.
