Das wildromantische, ca. 53 km lange Schwarzatal ist ein tief eingeschnittenes Kerbtal am Nordrand des Thüringer Schiefergebirges.
Es erstreckt sich von der Quelle der Schwarza, unmittelbar am Rennsteig, bis zur Mündung in die Saale bei Rudolstadt.
The wildly romantic, approx. 53 km long Schwarza valleyl is a deeply cut valley on the northern edge of the Thuringian Slate Mountains.
It extends from the source of the Schwarza River, directly on the Rennsteig, to the mouth of the Saale River near Rudolstadt.
