The Site

This is the site before planting. To qualify as a heritage garden, sites must include a local geologic feature. In this case, it is a representation of a dry streambed. It's delineated by orange water soluble paint that will soon disappear. The native plants will be planted on both sides of the stream bed. Basalt columns are another feature that are often used.
