Glastonbury Abbey

The unusual siting of the Lady Chapel at the west end of the church rather than the usual north position was to preserve and commemorate the site of the wooden Old Church. Reportedly the first monastic structure on the site, the Old Church was fabled to have its origin in the first century, but met its end in the great fire of 1184.

This photograph was taken using a Canon EOS 3 film camera and a EF 16-35 mm F4 IS lens. The film used was Ilford HP4 plus and the film was rated at 125 ISO. the film was developed by my self and then scanned using a Nikon Coolscan 5000ED
