The Cathedral of St. James.

The Cathedral of St. James.

The construction of the cathedral took 105 years (1431-1536, consecrated in 1555), during the difficult times of the Turkish threat and the plague epidemic. The northern and the western wall together with portals were constructed originally in the style of the late Gothicism under the guidance of the master mason Bonino da Milano, and thenby the Venetian master masons.
