16th century stone cross
Das Steinkreuz steht an der Straße von Boritz nach Riesa. Es ist aus Sandstein und 1,32 Meter hoch. Das alte Wahrzeichen ist ein Sühnekreuz, das nach den Rechtsgepflogenheiten des Mittelalters für eine Gewalttat eines Angehörigen des Adels als Buße gesetzt werden durfte.
You find the stone cross on the road from Boritz to Riesa. It is made of sandstone and is 1.32 meters high. The old landmark is an atonement cross, which according to the legal customs of the Middle Ages could be set as a penance for an act of violence by a member of the nobility.
