This one started quite odd. There was a contest which required building a monochrome modell. I had the idea for this modell for quite a while in my files. So I build a pre-version just in monochrome. Maybe I would have used more colour otherwise.

 

Almost dumped this one. It just was so ugly... But what do I expect when building a large grey block?

 

The key to make it work was better lighting. This modell depends on having shadows. Simply placing a lamp over it instead of using sunlight did the trick.

 

I also tried my new lamps the first time. I have been struggeling with poor light for two years now but those new lamps are really bright.

 

I am a bit sorry for the door. It's beautiful but the angle doesn't do it justice.
