Even today, they are accused of attacking and killing kids, eating partridge eggs, chasing rabbits, ruining fruits, corn, grapes; to steal chickens and hens.
The latest censuses show how real these persecutions are. Only in the islands of Fuerteventura and El Hierro survive a population of about 100 couples. In others, it seems that the crows are about to become extinct.
