Oh this inspiring, maddening, motivating, crazy-making thing called "Get Pushed". Here I go again - the 11'th hour, no idea or energy (throw in a nasty virus for good measure), the deadline ticking loudly from my camera bag - so we'll skip to the part where trial and error finally roots itself into an idea and completely surprises me. But Round 13 takes the prize. The colourful, creative, talented (and adorably nauseous) Amanda issued an awesome challenge:

"I'd like for you to try something with the theme of "infinity." You can use anything you'd like to accomplish this (mirrors, editing, some crazy camera movement) but the image needs to go on... forever. This is a website to give you an idea of what I'm thinking about:"

First of all, you can't click on that link without wanting to try this idea out. Amanda definitely treated me to a push in a very cool direction. It also takes next to no time to realize how hard it is to find the subject or spot that will let you pull it off really really well (or maybe that part is just my slow-moving brain this week). Realizing that I wasn't going to get out of the house in time to find that perfect spot, I started playing with the oddest assortment of objects I could find. Over the course of an hour I also realized that the limits of the way I usually shoot were going to have stretch as well. In the end the winner was shot 'chin to floor', eyes crossed by this point, in manual (which was it's own wonderful Push for this auto-focus junkie), and seemed to call for little but a quick black and white conversion. And once again, for all my swearing and wondering why I keep signing up for this madness...I'm stoked.

Thanks for the great inspiration and for being such a great sport in enduring equal Get Pushed madness in your week. If you haven't had a chance to go and see Amanda's own wonderful response, you really should!

And if you haven't signed up for the madness yourself...Round 14 sign-up is waiting for you. You won't regret it (well...not for very long anyways...ha ha)
