Another view of Macchu Picchu, this taken from the very top of the peak of Huayna Picchu.
As you can see Macchu Picchu is not on the top of a mountain so much as on the top of a ridge.
The peak of Huayna Picchu, which I was standing on the very top of when I took this photo, is some 300m higher than Macchu Picchu.
