For Attention SL - Sparklebottom Lasertits (III)

For Attention SL’s year-end Holiday issue, I had the joy, thrill, and honor to photograph one of my favourite people on the grid – photographer Sparklebottom Lasertits. Sparkle and I have crossed paths numerous times over the years, and her artistry, fearlessness, and joie de vivre have always captivated and inspired me.

 

For our third shoot, we had a double inspiration. First, Diwali – India’s Festival of Light. Second, Richard Avedon’s iconic 1955 photo, Dovima with Elephants (link: www.artic.edu/artworks/221681/dovima-with-elephants-eveni... ). Sparkle, as always, came through with exquisite styling.
