JVC 70FH97 LCOS HDTV 1080P HDMI with UltraModern Stand

JVC 70FH97 LCOS HDTV 1080P HDMI with UltraModern Stand

I have a brand new JVC 70FH97 model LCOS 1080P HDTV for sale. I bought it from ShopNBC 4 months ago while renovating my home theater room, paid over $3800 at the time, which includes an $800 UltraModern black A/V stand (all steel and a beautiful curved glass top.) Also included is the professional ISF calibration of the hidden service menu worth $400. The picture quality should be absolutely stunning, inky blacks and 100% color accurate with no rainbow effect of DLP. This set utilizes cutting edge LCOS technology (Liquid Crystal over Silicon) rather than DLP, the result is a much smoother picture with NO JAGGIES! Also this set will not cause headaches in people who are succeptable to the rainbow effect from the color wheel of DLPs, this set has no color wheels!

Since the HT room is finished, we decided on a projector and 110" screen.... so this gorgeous set has to go! Your gain....

I've researched this set for months before purchasing, and it's a technological marvel, cutting edge features in a projection set.

The TV is in storage still strapped onto the pallet, new and unopened.

Remember, this is still over a $1000 cheaper than a comparable purchase... with stand and professional ISF calibration.

The real value is the professional ISF calibration... and that make a huge difference in PQ when you dial it in to perfection. This level of calibration for color accuracy and temperature is done inside the service menu, which can not be accessed by the layman. It's the perfectly calibrated set which brings out that amazing true to life visual "looking out the window" clarity that we all demand from a technically superior HDTV set. Any qualified, reputable calibration technician will cost you $300 to $400 extra, and a couple hours of your time. My set is calibrated and waranteed from ShopNBC.

And there IS a noticable difference between calibrated and uncalibrated set. I suggest you google "isf calibration for DLP or LCOS". You can research all the science behind it. Uncalibrated is what you see when you go to Best Buy or Circuit City. The image is not pristinely clean as it could be and PQ, color is not accurate (red or green shift) or probably flat. If you could live with it, then it's probably fine. For me, once I've seen a properly calibrated set, I could'nt go back. It's definitely noticable in terms of realism, 3-D picture dynamics, "action jumping out of the screen at you" effect. Do yourself a favor and research this if you want maximum enjoyment from your set. It's a shame not to exploit the full potential from such a capable set.
