We've averaged about one sunny day per week so far this winter, which has been tedious for people out here, but is great news for those of you yet to come, because there's a lot of snow and it is in excellent condition.
It's not great for photos, though, so here's a shot we took last week. It illustrates the importance of ski helmets. This little boy seems about to nut the gate, and would probably have died without his helmet. (Or could the helmet be the reason why he has neither seen nor heard the gate, and is about to bash into it?)
Boris Johnson has really stirred everyone up. The link www.ottawacitizen.com/opinion/helmets+alone+reduce+seriou... has some surprising statistics, but the most telling comment came from our aptly-named former chalet girl Pascale Pretty, who noticed the adverts Google had placed after Boris's article:

2 - become a ski instructor
