Die Nebenbahn von Eggmühl nach Lanquaid wurde schon vor vielen Jahren von der DB aufgegeben, doch kümmert sich der Verein Laabertalbahn seit der Jahrtausendwende um die Strecke. Mittlerweile hat der Verein zwei kleine Diesellokomotiven und den charakteristischen Auwärter-Beiwagen mit welchen die Sonderfahrten zu besonderen Anlässen durchgeführt werden. Am 01.06.2008 fand eine privat organisierte Sonderfahrt statt und im Ortsbereich Schierling konnte die V1 samt Beiwagen auf der schönen Bogenbrücke aufgenommen werden. Ein in der Region noch allgegenwärtiger alter Traktor fuhr passend vorbei.
The branch line from Eggmühl to Lanquaid was abandoned by the German Railways (DB) many years ago, but the Laabertalbahn Association has been managing the line since the turn of the millennium. The association now owns two small diesel locomotives and the characteristic Auwärter trailer, which are used for special trips on special occasions. On June 1, 2008, a privately organized special trip took place, and the V1 and its trailer were photographed on the beautiful arched bridge in the Schierling area. An old tractor, still ubiquitous in the region, appropriately drove by.
