Labradorite 2
Photos of a piece of labradorite that I have. The "reverse" side, i.e. the unpolished side, is much more interesting and vibrant than the polished side; in the right light it shines like a kingfisher in the sun! All the more amazing because it looks SO dull and rough when the light isn't catching it in the right way. Some of these extreme close-ups also made me think of glowing coals, with exotic blue fire instead of red.
