Science World, Vancouver.

CANADÀ B/N 2024

Science World is an interactive, non-profit science centre located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is one of the city's most iconic landmarks, recognizable by its distinctive geodesic dome structure (designed by R. Buckminster Fuller) located at the eastern end of False Creek.

The building was originally constructed as the Expo Centre for the 1986 World's Fair (Expo 86). After the fair, it was repurposed as a science centre, opening its doors in 1989.

Science World's mission is to foster scientific curiosity and learning in people of all ages. Its main attractions include:

Hands-on interactive exhibits covering topics like the human body, light, sound, and motion.

The OMNIMAX Theatre, one of the world's largest dome-screen cinemas.

Live science demonstrations.
