SARDENYA 2024
The Banchina Dogana (Customs Quay) is one of the main quays located in the Port of Alghero (Sardinia), situated right next to the wall of the Historic Centre. Its primary function is nautical and touristic.
Key Highlights
Port Function: It is one of the two main quays managed by the Port of Alghero that provides transit berths for visiting vessels (along with the Banchina Sanità). It can accommodate boats up to around 50 meters, though the maximum depth is about 3 meters.
Strategic Location: The quay benefits from a prime location, as it is directly sheltered by the old town walls. This places it just 50 meters from the vibrant Historic Centre, providing easy access to restaurants and services for visitors arriving by sea.
Amenities: It offers essential amenities to mariners, including water and electricity at the berths.
Touristic Appeal: This area is excellent for taking a stroll and watching the sunset over Capo Caccia, with the golden stone walls of Alghero serving as a dramatic backdrop. The seafront promenade (Lungomare) that begins here is a very popular spot.
