Bosa

SARDENYA 2024

Bosa is one of the most picturesque towns in Sardinia, located on the west coast. Its most distinct feature is its vibrantly coloured historic centre, with pastel-hued houses stacked up the slopes of the Serravalle hill. The town is the only one on the island built on the banks of a navigable river, the Temo, which elegantly flows through it to the sea.

Atop the hill, dominating the view, is the imposing Malaspina Castle, a 12th-century medieval fortress that offers spectacular panoramic views. The lower area, by the river, showcases its history as a tanning centre (Sas Conzas), now a national monument. Bosa, which is on the list of "The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy," is also known for producing the sweet Malvasia wine and its nearby beach, Bosa Marina.
