Port de Québec

Quebec, CANADÀ 2024.

The Port of Quebec is the oldest port in all of Canada, with a history dating back to the city's founding in the 17th century. Located at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and the Saint-Charles River, the port has been a vital economic artery for the city and the country. In the 19th century, it was one of the most important ports in the world, serving as a point of entry for thousands of immigrants, especially from the United Kingdom. Today, while its cargo traffic focuses on bulk goods, the port has become a major hub for cruise ships. Its location near the historic city center makes it an ideal arrival point for tourists. Part of the old port, known as the Vieux-Port, has been redeveloped for tourism, offering a marina, a waterfront promenade, and exhibition spaces.
