Earlier during the week, I made plans to go to Reynolds nature preserve, as their feeders are currently the home of four Red-breasted nuthatches, an irruptive species that will not likely make it this far south again for years to come. Other birds were enjoying the feeders as much as the nuthatches, including this female Purple finch. I love the posture she held her head in!
