Northern cardinal

A female Northern cardinal I photographed at our house

 

I believe this is a descendant of a pair of Northern cardinals that lived around our house when we used to live there. Before I got into birding, I learned to identify this species due to the male spending a lot of time watching me and my family from outside. As you can tell I'm partial to this species.
