Hooded mergansers

A pair of Hooded mergansers (Although there are more in the background) in a evaporation pond left by the receding water from the main lake this used to be connected to.

 

These birds were lifers for me, and quickly flew away after I photographed them. If they hadn't, I would have attempted recording a video of them. Maybe next time!
