Great blue heron

A Great blue heron at Lake Peachtree, Georgia.

 

The bird was in a shallow puddle left by the receding water, and was likely hunting the fish and other animals left behind. Since it was beginning to become dark outside, I did not increase the f-stop as much, to continue shooting the subject in a much more beautiful setting.
