My interpretation of the key board for the workers' lodgings in the office of the abandoned Tallheo Salmon Cannery in Bella Coola, BC. There were three categories: "Norwegians," "Indians," and a racist term for "Chinese." Those were tough times in a remote maze of winding ocean fjords set among steep, snow-capped mountains. I recently enjoyed a week-long Abstract photo workshop at this beautifully decrepit cannery.
