Splashy Hovy { Lasaia arsis }

This spectacular butterfly was seen only once during my 12 days in southern Brazil. It was even more difficult to get sharp than butterflies usually are, as it was constantly beating its wings. I had to resort to servo and shoot in bursts of 4-5 at a time. I am reluctant to admit that only 3 or 4 out of around 100 or more shots were in any way good, this obviously being the best.
