Iceland Day 4 - The Hike on Skógafoss
By the end of our third day we made a visit to the beautiful Sky Lagoon, which was a great experience and a perfect place to find some relaxation. But photography wise it was done for the day. The next morning we had to pack all our stuff, cause we were going to drive towards our next house, which was located more on the southside. The famous Seljalandsfoss was only a 4 minute drive away from here, but our first visit was the other equally well known Skógafoss. His fame became clear to me when I saw it’s size, but also the enormous crowds around him. But I’d heard there also was a beautiful hike from the top of the waterfall, so that was the first thing we did from our new cabin. And it sure was exactly what I had hoped for! As we walked further, the crowd slowly disappeared and eventually we had all the space we wanted. Here also the autumn colours were popping out of the landscape and with a long lens, a polarizer plus a nd-filter I tried to capture them in several ways, against the flowing water. Most of them have already been thrown in the recycle bin, but this one with the big rock in the foreground, is one I do like.
Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!
