Kong Skull Island – Movie Of The Week 17/2017
Review:
The discovery of a new land takes a Special Forces team to meet up with an exploration group of researchers in what should be a simple wilderness mission.
All goes wrong as soon the teams arrive at the newfound island and after the initial surprise, Skull Island starts the “monster show” demonstrating why man should have stayed away.
An excellent action/exploration movie that will delight the curious dreamy explorers out there. The characters are regular, somewhat amusing, soldiers and more serious “specialists” now facing the horde of beasts that rule the island.
The CGI is good, many times relying on fast paced scenes with proper filters to distract from any imperfection.
The acting is reasonably medium-to-good, failing to make us feel what the stranded crew members are going through, since after middle movie we are already more concerned with Kong and its own fight against the island treats and these new visitors.
