Seasonal Islands
While having a nice antique store date with my girlfriend this last Sunday, I stumbled upon a just gorgeous Kodak Tourist Camera with equally lovely red leather case for only $39, I bought it on the spot, and being that it takes 620 film, immediately sanded down a roll of 120 to fit. We were then shortly by the river with our dogs, where I shot this, only to develop it that evening.
The 105mm f/4.5 Anaston appears to be quite sharp. I primarily shot in f/32 to ensure sufficient DOF, and that was the right choice, though I wonder what something like f/16 would give me. I also seem to have gotten lucky, in that every shutter speed I tested worked. I developed this in my usual fashion of semi stand development with Rodinal at roughly 1:100 for 70 minutes.
My girlfriend informed me that the bank of the Willamette River along Mary S. Young Park in West Linn, Oregon changes significantly throughout the year, and that water levels in Spring create these small islands on what would be the summer shore.
