Liverpool Docks Autumn Pilot
Locomotive Services Group's Class 57/0, 57003 - now with added BR arrows - heads through a wet Hartford in the hands of GBRf on its way to Tuebrook as 0Z57 14:44 Crewe Holding Sidings to Tuebrook Sidings.
The re-engineered locomotive formerly know as 47317 was going on-hire to GB Railfreight for banking / piloting duties out of Liverpool Docks during the slippery-rails season. The 57 will top the 60s/66s leading the 2000+ tonne biomass trains up the steep inclines out of the docks to reduce the risk of them slipping to a stand.
