ScotRail Push-Pull Reborn (Sneak Preview)
Momentarily breaking cover outside Crewe Diesel Depot four months before Locomotive Services Group officially unveiled their 'new' ScotRail Push-Pull set to the world, Mk3a TSOs 12111 and 12171 gave a sneak preview of what was to come.
Just visible on the left is Mk3a TSOB 10404, which had arrived from store at the Barry Tourist Railway three days previously, and which has since been repainted into ScotRail and is also now part of LSG's ScotRail set.
The two TSOs were in the original batch of ex-GA Mk3s acquired in Spring 2020 and had originally been painted into InterCity livery prior to their make-over in early summer 2022.
The set is expected to make its debut in service early-ish in the New Year (2023).
