Heading To The Highlands (via Stevenage)
Locomotive Services Group Class 47/7, 47593 "Galloway Princess" led by stablemate Class 47/4, 47853 (carrying former number 47614) prepare to work through the night with the ECS move for the following weekend's West Highland Statesman to Fort William.
The move was running as 5Z36 23:20 Crewe Holding Sidings to Stevenage and after a layover in Wembley Yard would arrive at 04:58 the next morning.
This would be the pair's second trip to the Scottish Highlands in a little over a week, having also worked the Mossend-Inverness leg of InterCity's The Clansman the previous weekend.
