Hard Work In Vain

GB Railfreight Class 92, 92010 flies through Hartford at 85 mph with the Caledonian Sleeper Down Highlander (1S25).

92010 and its driver were working hard to recover a delay caused be stock issues at Wembley and then congestion around Milton Keynes and were 38 Late at this point.

The pair had reduced the delay to 19 Late by Preston, but the good work was ultimately undone when 1S25 got caught behind a Class 325 Royal Mail unit that failed in the Beattock area and the Sleeper ended up over an hour late arriving in Inverness.
