To ensure both of LSL's InterCity Class 90s had a run out, 001 worked the evening Crewe-Wolverhampton leg, whilst sister Skoda 002 had worked the morning leg.
90001 had run round from the adjacent Crewe Diesel Depot as 0Z41 20:18 Crewe Holding Sidings to Crewe and was poised in the UDL ready to drop onto the front once 46100 had run off the stock.
