DVT 82139 leads Locomotive Services Limited’s immaculate InterCity Mk3 rake at 110 mph through Acton Bridge as 5Z51 15:01 Carlisle to Crewe Holding Sidings.

 

The set was wrapping up two successful days testing for LSL’s Class 87, 87002 (propelling from the rear) ahead of the 2022 InterCity railtour season starting on 26th January with the AL7 due to work the Electric Scot from Euston to Glasgow.
