First Class Dining

The exquisite 99993 Dining Car that forms part of the Locomotive Services Limited's Chairman's Train.

 

The coach, formerly TSO Mk1 5067, has been converted a number of times, with its latest guise being a traveling dining room with a full dining table and chairs, together with a full kitchen at one end.

 

The Chairman's Train had arrived into Crewe on 1Z47 11:24 Oxford to Crewe - a private charter bringing Jeremey Hosking and his family and friends to Crewe for the naming of one of the Class 37 locomotives in honour of Mr. Hosking's mother.

 

The full consist for this working of the Chairman's Train was:

 

6706 Mk2f RLO "Mount (M)Gahinga" - an ex-Caledonian Sleeper Mk2 lounge car that has been modified and fully refitted to a very high standard for specific use in Mr. Hosking's Chairman's Train as a drawing/sitting room.
