Lots of media coverage about Freightliner and other FOCs replacing their electric locos with diesels due to soaring electricity costs, however those who like to over-exaggerate the situation and claim “all” have been replaced are forgetting that the three Anglo-Scottish liners north of Crewe are, for now at least, still operated by pairs of Class 90s.
