Late Lowlander Again
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92018 leads a heavily delayed Caledonian Sleeper Up Lowlander (1M11) through Acton Bridge.
Staffing shortages linked to the ongoing industrial dispute between Serco and RMT meant the full train had to start from Edinburgh. It was almost two hours late departing Waverley waiting for Glasgow passengers to be bussed across. A further delay of c.35 minutes occurred at Carstairs East Junction, believed to be stock-related.
The service was 102 Late at this point and eventually arrived into Euston 76 Late per the WTT and 61 Late per the GBTT.
With both of Friday night's Up services also delayed, this meant an unwelcome book-end either side of the weekend.
