Right Time, Wrong Train
A very challenging night/morning for the Caledonian Sleepers due to an individual jumping from the Waverley Bridge onto the station roof and then two broken-down 385s, which then caused disruption for several hours in Edinburgh.
The Up Lowlander Edinburgh portion's delayed start was then exacerbated by trespasser(s) at Cambuslang and a broken-down train at Kirknewton.
By the time 1M11 reached Hartford, with GB Railfreight Class 92, 92020 in charge, it had recovered to 81 Late having left Carstairs 112 Late. This meant it was passing through at the time the Highlander normally does - that train was still in Edinburgh at the time, though!
The service encountered a further delay of almost half an hour at Rugby to allow an ambulance to attend to an ill passenger. However, it ultimately arrived in Euston 72 Late per the WTT and 56 Late per the GBTT (public timetable).
