Ringless Couperin

GB Railfreight's remaining original Railfreight grey-liveried Class 92, 92044 "Couperin" waits in the UDL at Crewe station for its driver to collect 028 from the short neck siding and then take the pair - with 028 leading - to Wembley.

92044 had come into the station from the ETD having dropped off 023 earlier in the afternoon. 044 was originally planned to tow 028 to Wembley, but the Grey One was being a bit cantankerous, so Driver Large opted to lead with 028 instead.

The move back to the capital was running - thanks to the campaign for proper headcodes(!) - as 0A50 16:24 Crewe Electric Traction Maintenance Depot to Wembley Inter City Depot.

Couperin is now without its original Channel Tunnel 'rings' after these were removed during its F Exam (overhaul) at Brush Traction, Loughborough, which occurred during 2020.
