GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92028 prepares to depart Crewe with GBRf's remaining original Railfreight grey 92, 92044 "Couperin".
92044 had come into the station from the ETD having dropped off 023 earlier in the afternoon. 044 was originally planned to tow 028 to Wembley, but the Grey One was being a bit cantankerous, so the driver opted to lead with 028 instead - once he'd collected it from the short neck siding.
The move back to the capital was running - thanks to the campaign for proper headcodes(!) - as 0A50 16:24 Crewe Electric Traction Maintenance Depot to Wembley Inter City Depot.
Couperin is now without its original Channel Tunnel 'rings' after these were removed during its F Exam (overhaul) at Brush Traction, Loughborough, which occurred during 2020.
