The immaculate Class 40, 40013 / D213 "Andania" prepares to get the ECS underway from Crewe for the Saphos Trains' "The Bristol Forty" railtour running as 5Z40 05:00 Crewe Down Holding Sidings to Bangor.
The Whilstler - which is on long-term hire to Locomotive Services Limited - was first taking the stock to Bangor, to then work the tour to Bristol where two steamers (Royal Scot and Sherwood Forester) would take over for the leg to Crewe. 40013 would then run back light to work the final Crewe-Bangor leg in the evening.
