In recent months, two TfW units have been cunningly scheduled to couple up in Platform 6 prior to heading to the LNWR Carriage Sheds just before the Caledonian Sleeper Down Highlander (1S25) is due to arrive.
They are quite often late and result in 1S25 sitting outside Crewe waiting for the platform, or until the Bobby decides putting it in the usually empty Platform 12 might be a better idea.
That was the case on this occasion, as GB Railfreight Class 92, 92043 and 1S25 had eventually been put into P12. The Class 92 and Load 16 are a snug fit in that platform, as can be seen by the proximity of the loco to the platform end.
