The Class 9 Builders

An official works photograph of the men who assembled the Brush Traction Bo-Bo-Bo Eurotunnel Class 9 locomotives standing proudly alongside one of the Channel Tunnel workhorses at the famous Falcon Works in Loughborough.

The Eurotunnel Class 9s (or Class 9000s) have been used exclusively since they were built in the mid-1990s to work the car and lorry shuttles through the Channel Tunnel.

The photograph is undated, but believed to have been taken around 1994.

This photograph was given to me by the wife of one of the gentlemen in the photograph, who has since sadly passed away.
