Test Run Passed With Flying Colours
GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92044 "Couperin" heads through Acton Bridge as it returns from a test run to Preston as 0Z93 11:07 Preston to Crewe ETD.
044 had been brought out of Wabtec Brush at Loughborough two days previously after being in the works for 14 months to have an overhaul, reliability mods and new wheelsets.
After a day of prep at the ETD, the Dyson had a run out to Preston to check all was in order before it headed south the following day to resume duties at the Channel Tunnel. The run was that successful the second planned return run to Preston was cancelled.
GB's sole active grey 92 had lost its tunnel rings and Crewe Electric depot plaques whilst in Brush, but since coming out had gained cabside "GB Railfreight" logos and a pair of new data panels (at the far end on this side).
