Debussy Returns

GB Railfreight Class 92, 92043 returns to Class 1 action for the first time in almost four months working the Caledonian Sleeper Down Highlander (1S25) through Hartford.

The engine formerly named "Debussy" encountered technical issues the last time it worked the service on the night of 2 December (2020) and, although it eventually made it to Edinburgh, it required attention at Wembley ICD and then Crewe ETD. With the loco also requiring new wheelsets, they were also replaced whilst it was at Crewe.

A reduced service was running in response to Covid-19 restrictions, with only one train running in each direction serving Edinburgh and Inverness. The usual services to Glasgow, Aberdeen and Fort William were cancelled.
