Third Time Lucky!!
At the third attempt, Will (37408) and I managed to get this particular shot of him driving the Caledonian Sleeper Down Highlander (1S25) through Acton Bridge.
The steed in question for this successful attempt was GB Railfreight's Class 92, 92038. Two previous attempts (both involving 023) ended with a complete bowl-out by a Freightliner and then a perfectly reasonable shot - but from the 'nearside' and not the one intended due to a unit being in the station.
A revised timetable was in operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Highlander running to/from Inverness and Fort William only and the Lowlander serving Glasgow and Edinburgh as normal.
