Former EMR Class 43 HST power car, 43058 stands outside Locomotive Services Limited's Crewe Diesel Depot having been moved from store at Long Marston three days previously.
058 was subsequently joined by sister power car 059, which was moved by road the day after this photo (due to its positioning at Long Marston making rail transfer unfeasible).
It is believed the pair will be used for training in preparation for the launch of LSL's Blue Pullman charter service in November, which is to use an HST set currently at Arlington's Eastleigh Works for refurbishment and repainting.
